ENVIRA will have an important role in the framework of the activities organized by the Government of Asturias for the Climate Change Conference (COP25). Specifically, it will monitor the indoor air quality of the exhibition ‘A reserve forest’. This exhibition shows the importance of the forests, meadows and natural reserves of green Asturias as a carbon dioxide sink and reserve to compensate for greenhouse gas emissions that cannot be reduced.
Indoor air quality of the exhibition
ENVIRA has installed three Nanoenvi IAQ devices for monitoring indoor air quality in different areas of the exhibition. The devices, connected to each other, are monitoring the following parameters and environmental variables:
- Carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
- PM10 and PM2.5
- Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- Atmospheric pressure
The data collected by the sensors is transmitted to an IoT (Internet of Things) platform for its management and operation, so visitors can know the state of the indoor air quality parameters in real-time. In addition, because one of the devices is located on a parcel that represents the Asturian meadows, the operation of green areas can be observed as a reserve of CO2 and, consequently, its contribution to sustainable development.
The general director of planning, agricultural infrastructure and mountains, Fernando Prendes, highlighted “the record time in which ENVIRA installed all the equipment and developed the interactive part of the exhibition”.
‘A reserve forest’ can be visited until December 17 at the Escuela de Comercio in Gijón.
ENVIRA, a reference in environmental care solutions
The participation of ENVIRA in the activities organized by the government of Asturias for the COP25 shows that the solutions developed by the company contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, being one of the leading companies in Asturias that uses cutting-edge technology for environmental sustainability.
