At ENVIRA we received the visit of Cross-Platform App Development students to meet our facilities and discover how we work and the main projects that we are currently developing.
It is always a pleasure to receive future professionals who want to get involved in projects that allow them to develop professionally and have their first contact in the work market.
The visit started in one of the ENVIRA’s buildings at the Technological Park of Asturias, with a presentation of the company: history, delegations in Spain, international projection and main clients.
Ángel Retamar, head of IoT department, explained the technologies they use and the projects that are currently developing in different countries of the world. The students also learned about the experience of Miguel Pérez, one of the latest recruits to the IoT team, who also studied at the IES Monte Naranco.
The Systems department explained its work in monitoring and control networks for air and water quality, continuous emission monitoring systems and the work developed in environmental education projects.
Next, they toured the different facilities: the IoT workspace, the calibration laboratory accredited by ENAC, the sensor studio, where all Internet of Things equipment is assembled, and the Systems workshop.
The visit continued in another of ENVIRA’s buildings in the Technology Park, where Leticia Casado, director at Netenvira, explained how the consulting services have been closely linked to TICs with the development of digital tools and solutions. The software engineer, Ana María Arias, talked about her experience in the company, as well as the technologies used for web applications, mobile applications, connectors between applications and ad hoc developments.
To finalize the visit, students were informed about ENVIRA’s commitment to incorporate young talents into their staff and the internship program. The students also took some practical and technological corporate gadgets.
At ENVIRA we would like to see them again in the future to work together.
